Ceasar Souza, aka the Animal is a drummer/vocalist from Providence RI.  Growing up in a family of musicians he was drawn to music of all styles. He always loved the backbeat of the songs and the harmonies. At the age of 15 he moved to South America Brazil where he learned Samba and Bosanova which broaden his love for music and started him on his professional journey by touring with one of the most popular Brazilian bands, “The Naus Band”.

Often called “the clock”, he is one of the most sought out drummers in the tri-state area well known for his clocking tempos with a knack for finding the right grove and locking down the timing. His vocals add to his popularity; from highs to lows he makes the harmonies come alive. Cherrywood gives him the opportunity to lay down his sticks from time to time and come out front to sing lead, giving him the chance to show off his vocal talents.

Having played in numerous bands both locally and abroad and having the honor of playing with many talented musicians, Ceasar gives credit to his family and friends for pushing him to be the best he can be. He also gives credit to bands such as The Bee Gee's, Little River Band, Three Dog Night, ZZ Top, Boston and like bands of the 70's and 80's for giving him his inspiration and appreciation of harmonies and good solid beats.
